"The hotel was very surprisingly pleasantly decorated and stylish inside and out not feeling like you were in Southend so don’t let the positioning fool you excellent walking distance from theatre hence reason for staying there staff were very friendly and helpful the sea view was a sea view and not just a glimpse , restaurant food was very good and tasty . However fancied a late night snack called room service which took forever to arrive. Can’t be perfect but definitely worth staying there"

"Nice hotel overall. Room was a bit dated, with a crack in the plaster in the ceiling but overall OK. Staff on the whole were helpful and friendly, especially on checking in and at breakfast. Lady on check out barely interacted with me or asked how the stay was. Good location. Lots of parking. 2 electric points however 1 doesnt work, and from reading online hasn't worked in a long time, and the other 1 is only for 3 pin chargers. Had to go elsewhere to charge. Worth checking if there are events on during the stay. The first night was done by 11. The second night went on until midnight and was quite loud."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Honey Pod. Communication and instructions before arrival were wonderful and made everything so easy. The space itself is compact but has everything you need — a cozy kitchen/lounge area, comfortable bedroom, and clean bathroom. The wood burner hot tub in the garden was such a treat, perfect for relaxing under the stars. It’s beautifully secluded and feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of nowhere — peaceful, quiet, and magical. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and escape! "
