"Well-designed hotel with a lovely interior throughout. The location is excellent too ā€“ itā€™s on a new development just outside the city centre, and hopping on a Voi scooter into town was quick, easy and quite possibly the most fun Iā€™ve had obeying traffic laws. The bedrooms are also great, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and overall itā€™s a place Iā€™d happily stay again. Howeverā€¦ there is one issue. The bar staff called time at 10:30pm. 10:30pm. On. A. Saturday... I wasnā€™t asking them to recreate Ibiza in 1999. I simply thought a second pint while watching the World Cup on a warm summer evening in the lovely outdoor seating area wasnā€™t an outrageous request. Perhaps Iā€™m showing my age, but Iā€™d always considered 10:30pm to be the point where an evening begins to gather momentum. Everything else was superb. Just donā€™t expect the nightlife to extend beyond the end of The One Show."
