Keswick Country House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very quaint hotel. Felt like we were staying in a bit of history. Very nice bar and grounds. Keswick is a neat area, with lots of shops and restaurants. Only complaint: the biggest freaking spider I’ve even seen decided to take up residence in the bathroom. Fortunately it was the last day, so we let him have it."
Borrowdale Gates Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Fantastic experience. It was a dreamy room with a dreamy view. The interior of the hotel has got a modern touch while still upholding the traditional, English structures. Every staff member is dedicated to help you with anything you need. They will always greet you and make you feel welcome. The manager/owner checked in personally with us about our stay and we had this optimistic conversation about having Halal options in the near future. Hotel is well equipped with all the necessary features. We were given an iron, ironing board and a fan upon request. Everything was neat and clean. Made our anniversary trip very very special. Thank you Borrowdale Gates!"
The Allerdale Court Hotel
8/10 Good
"Clean and spacious room with everything we needed for an overnight stay. Plentiful soft towels and nice toiletries in the bathroom. Very welcoming receptionist who gave us all the info we needed. The room belied the impression given by the filthy hotel stair carpet although the good news is a carpet fitter was actually at work replacing this on the upper floors when we arrived. We were at the back of the hotel which was quiet so didn’t experience any pavement noise which I’m guessing could have been a problem at the front. Parking was at a premium in the public car parks opposite, we were lucky enough to find a space and the charges were reasonable, probably isn’t an issue out of season. The hotel has an adjoining steak house which is convenient unless you’re a vegetarian. If you want something different it is surprisingly difficult to find anying that you couldn’t find in a shopping precinct in any town. The rooms are perfectly good for a short stay."
Ennerdale Country House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Unique hotel, listed building. Amazing and helpful staff. Good breakfast and lovely dinner. Hotel is clean and got its character. It's little bit tired and need some repairs."
Mary Mount Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Good location, nice room which was upgraded when we arrived, helpful and friendly staff"
The Grange Country House

Seacote Hotel

"Very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the stay"
Lake District Castle Inn hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"We had a lovely family stay in Keswick from 17th to 22nd August and really enjoyed our time here. The location is excellent, surrounded by beautiful mountains and close to the lakes, with many Lake District attractions within an easy drive. The hotel was particularly good for our family. We stayed in a family room for six, which gave us plenty of space. My daughter especially loved the heated swimming pool, and the leisure facilities were a real bonus. Everything was clean and well maintained, with a sauna, jacuzzi, showers and changing/locker areas for adults. There is also a spa where you can book treatments and massages. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. You can enjoy the buffet or arrange breakfast in your room by ordering in advance. We also enjoyed the restaurant during our stay. Parking was easy, with plenty of spaces at both the front and back of the hotel, which was very convenient as we had our own car. From here, we could easily visit the lakes, mountains, wildlife parks and enjoy activities such as boat trips. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable family stay. If you’re looking for an all-in-one hotel in Keswick with good facilities, parking and a great location for exploring the Lake District, this is an excellent choice. We would happily stay again."
The Bridge Inn
8/10 Good
"The hotel was old but beautifully set in the middle of nowhere. Only 1 staff member on and couldn’t cope with the workload. Was very off with all customers. Food was excellent."
