The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the hotel is something out of a good movie. The staff were terrific. We went on a guided one hour torch nature walk that the hotel puts on Friday night. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Awesome location if you’re traveling by train. You can walk from there to the center, the hotel is very clean. We even had a Mozart chocolate ball on outlr pillow!
While it was tricky for the Uber driver to get to the location, it was a very convenient location, close to dining and shopping and the fortress, which was what we wanted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Most spacious room we had on our trip that spanned five countries! Quiet location, comfortable bed. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly and would love to go back!
We have stayed there for 2 nights the hotel is clean the staff is helpful and in vicinity to the centre. You have free parking for car. Breakfast is great but costs 13€ for adult, kids have free of charge. Overall great hotel
This is a lovely hotel with a wonderful staff. The location is perfect, an easy walk to all the sights of beautiful Salzburg. The staff was wonderfully helpful with tips on sights and super friendly. The rooms were quiet and very clean. Highly recommend this hotel.
Explorer Hotel Berchtesgaden exceeded our expectations. The rooms -- with all having an amazing view -- provides a very efficient use of space. The breakfast buffet is outstanding -- offering an array of delicious items. And the service staff was top notch.
And you can't find a better location to the popular attractions. Bus line 840 and 843 is a quick 10-minute trip from the Berchtesgaden train station. And the boat ride and Jennerbahn are 1 and 2 bus stops respectively.

Check in hours are specified but you can coordinate for if you arrive out of those times. Hotel is clean, beds comfortable, nice soaps. Good value and only about 20 min walk to Salzburg old town central. Easy to get to via public transit from airport (one bus). Strong recommendation when you consider value for money and efficiency! I would gladly stay again and recommend for those traveling to Salzburg.

Amazing staff. Luxurious hotel. Free parking. Spacious room with a nice view of lake Fuschl (Grand Deluxe Room) if you can afford an upgrade definitely go with it. Spa facilities are a must try, they have an indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, steam room, as well as massage therapy. Dining is expensive as expected in such places. In short it was a great experience to stay in this castle if you have the opportunity to spend a couple of days here don't miss it.
