The owners of this quiet, beautiful property are very charming and welcoming. We spent two nights here, and our room was very clean and comfortable. We also had dinners and breakfasts with our hosts, and the food was wonderful! The property is up a hill off the main road, so it was much quieter than our first night in Dominica. The owners have done a great job of fixing up the place, and we would definitely stay here again!

Mainroad Suite and Calibishie is a little piece of heaven on the northeast side of Dominica. It is so very much different than the rest of the island. The accommodations are a perfect base for exploring the many sights and hikes. You come back to a very quiet and clean apartment; with a very nice welcoming family feel. A small but lovely hotel in the hills above Portsmouth, with a commanding view of Prince Rupert Bay. The rooms are large, breakfast is fantastic and the staff and owners are incredibly friendly and helpful! Portsmouth is a great place to stay, with restaurants, whale watching, a couple of wine sand beaches to stay, and good beach bars in which to wile the days away. Highly recommend The Champs.

Beautiful location and hotel. Nice restaurant, however dinner menu is a bit limiting, especially for vegetarians, offering only 1 vegetarian entree. The menu doesn’t rotate during a week, so if you have a long stay, it gets boring unless you go eat other places. Breakfast was very nice. Staff nice and helpful.

The room was clean, location great not far from the bus stop! To the town of Portsmouth! Great place! Peaceful!

I enjoyed the stay here in the village. I visited in the evening a restaurant in the neighborhood and all people there were very nice.

Just stay here was amazing. Now I understand why he say. It’s the best place to stay in the whole country. The staff was incredible and the food was really good. Chef Dion does an exceptional job in the kitchen. Gwenlyn in the front desk that’s extremely helpful and very sweet.

This place was impressively clean. The staff very friendly Ask and Ms. Cynthia to connect you with Original Gregory if you need a local guide. The Chinese food restaurant was slightly overrated but still good, and the portions huge. The only issues overall, and I’m not taking a star away because of them: no hot water to the sink- so I had to shave using the shower water. The sliding door to room 104 cannot be locked from the outside, and the balcony can be easily accessed even if you deadbolt...

Serene private environment

So much character and downright fun! Short walk to wonderful river swimming holes and a private hot spring homemade pool. The place itself is a small handmade cabin. Looks primitive but has all the amenities like wifi, hot water, and a hot plate for heating coffee. My favorite of the 10 places my wife and I stayed at on our 16-day Caribbean trip. Total cost of $65 per night made me rate it "excellent" for the value this was to me.

You feeel like at home ! Propety is spacious. Chris is very reactive and smart to help you. Wifi is great, kitchen is more than available to cook. I am a photographer was there for Real Mas Dominik. I have to book fi di next year right now ;)
