"Stayed overnight on our journey from Sweden with our small dog. Friendly staff , very helpful. The breakfast was excellent. I would recommend the hotel. It is a budget hotel , but good value for money."

"Hotel Gruener Sand was a very nice place, very clean room, courteous staff, helpful for someone like me that speaks very little German. Dinners were delicious in the little pub, and breakfast was also delicious. Very personalized care, and the only thing that I would recommend for the room(s)m, would be a little apartment size refrigerator. We had some juice drinks that needed refrigeration. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality"

"Modern room with almost all of the amenities you would expect -- refrigerator, TV, kettle -- but there is no AC so be aware. The bathroom was roomy, with a tub/shower (but watch your step getting in). For me this was a convenient location to walk through the old parts of the city and it's narrow, cobblestone roads."

"Very clean and friendly with good service. The quaint hotel is in a residential neighborhood and is very peaceful. We had an internet problem, but it affected the entire area, not just the hotel. "

"The receptionist, Yvonne, was the best I have ever encountered. She was bending over backwards to help, and as I witnessed, not just to me and my disabled wife, but to every guest who came in. This superb help made our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. In addition, the breakfast was also very good with a wonderful variety of options."
