WOW.. where do we begin!!!! Such an incredible resort with amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the extra money. Marolin and staff at the reception desk helped us make and change reservations for excursions, drove us on golf carts back and forth to our room and made us feel so warm and welcomed. This was such a great place to stay! The views were awesome, it was very quiet and peaceful, and it was very unique to stay in a dome. We saw so many hummingbirds and butterflies. The caretakers were the most helpful, friendly, generous people. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed and they also had a cute friendly dog that greeted us. Just a few minutes away there were a couple restaurants to eat at and it was a 5 minute car ride to Rio Celeste. Highly recommend this...
Milena and her husband are truly wonderful people who shared their little gem with anyone who stays over and you just don’t want to leave. This place is truly special I strongly recommend. I have travel all over the world and this place had the best hospitality and food for a reasonable price.

Our family of three (2 adults and one six year old) stayed at Lucky Bug B&B for one night in April on our way from LIR airport to La Fortuna to break up our travel day. We selected the B&B based on other reviews and we were so glad we did. Check-in was easy and quick; we were greeted by Monika, Rob, and their cats and dog (which my son loved!). We were able to park our car right next to the B&B, which is set back away from the main road and through a gate that is closed to those not staying at...
The grounds at the hotel are amazing. The tropical gardens that surround the guest rooms, paths, and pool make for a very relaxing stay. The rooms are spaced well apart and have a lot if privacy from the covered verandas. The views are incredible. The location is perfect for exploring and taking advantage of the many activities in the area.

The Staff here are AMAZING! We stayed for only one night before returning to SJO airport. We needed assistance with transportation and the staff here bent over backwards to make calls and help us. This property is clean and has a nice breakfast. The ONLY negative I would give it - the noise. If you cannot sleep with earplugs, you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong booking La Fortuna Lodge.
This was an amazing hotel, the property was beautiful and there are trails for you to explore through the jungle. The rooms were simple and rustic, not too fancy which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff, including Diego, is extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Would not hesitate to go back!

There is nature all around. I very much enjoyed swinging in the hammock looking at nature.
It is about a 30 minute walk to City center, but there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes. There is also a grocery store two minutes away
There is an adventurous "river walk" on property that we enjoyed.
The few cons were the breakfast wasn't the greatest for the price. Also the air conditioner weezed the last day... But we never notified them about it, so can't blame them for...
The Arenal Volcano was the most breathtaking view from our room that we have ever experience! The staff was amazing friendly and helpful! Starting with Felix Jimenez who was so helpful with my questions with the hotel and tours prior to our visit. Wilmer (Koloches) and Jacklyn at the front desk received us with a big welcome and drinks waiting for us!
