El Colibri is an excellent choice for a week long stay in Playa Carrillo. Our kids loved the pool and were very comfortable roaming about the property and surrounding area. The walk down to the beach was very reasonable, as was access to the market and several small restaurants. Of course I need to mention El Colibri's outstanding Argentinian parrilla. The roads getting to the property — and the Nosara area — were incredibly bumpy and rough. Once we arrived it was totally worth it. The staff was very friendly, they helped us with our Spanish, made it easy to schedule rides to town and activities offered. We had a fabulous stay at El Pequeno Gecko Verde, it is a true jungle oasis! Our kids, ages 5 & 7 loved the walk through the jungle to the secret beach and the pool was the perfect way to cool off in the afternoons. My son especially loved the banana milkshakes!
