When I say five stars I don't mean it is the best hotel in the country, I mean it does what it does really well in its price range. This is a comfortable and relaxing place. It is geared towards men who like to rest and watch a lot of sports. It is very clean and the hotel staff is very nice. They were very accommodating. The bartenders are friendly. The food is decent for Costa Rican standards. Sorry but Costa Rica isn't a food paradise. Not bad but nothing you will photograph and remember....

I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

This was our second time staying here and we love this place! Staff is very helpful, and made the effort to communicate with us, using our very limited Spanish. Trees and flowers are beautiful here. Many choices on Free Breakfast menu, and food is very good. We love staying in this place and know that the staff takes great pride in keeping the natural beauty of Costa Rica, and providing excellent service.

We have always enjoyed staying at this property because it is clean, quiet and has the best breakfast in town. We fly in from Oklahoma and often arrive in San Jose late enough we need to spend the night before going to our home on the South Pacific coast. This is a place you can count on being a good quality hotel.
This hotel (not really kind of a retreat/B&B) is set away from the surrounding towns and is in the middle of a small working farm. You drive past cows and milking stalls on the way in....you feel that you're stepping even further away from your busy life to a simpler time. Great experience ! Dave ,Marsha, Elezar and the staff went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable ,and everything was taken care of. They arranged a tour,massage, taxi service, meal delivery, and were always there with any questions I had.

If you’re looking to feel what it’s like to live in Costa Rica then this place is for you! It’s a property that has been turned into 14 rooms and it sits at the top of a hill overlooking all of the San José valley and the view is breathtaking!! Super quiet and very relaxing place, Lino, the property manager was great and helped us with everything we needed. This place was everything we wanted on our trip and we will be definitely coming back!
Victor, manager at hotel, was so kind upon check in. I had a long journey to San Jose and another one the next day. He did everything to make me comfortable and welcome. The garden in the back is so inviting and lush. I felt safe and cared for.
The next morning I was taken to the airport for my next flight. This hotel is only about 2 miles from the airport and has free to shuttle the morning after stay, although my taxi to hotel from airport was only a couple of USD.

I had a wonderful time at Casa 69. All of the staff were accommodating and friendly. Casa 69 is great for solo traveling, couples, or groups. The breakfast was amazing and they arranged pickup and drop off to/from the airport. I highly recommend and will be back again!
