Lucca is no San Gimigiano, but this B&B made stopping in the area completely worth it. Excellent amenities, very friendly staff, and fun rooms/structure. No limited hours for the pool made for a super-fun midnight swim. Will probably stay there again!

Just had 24 hours to spend in Lucca. It was a great stay, the staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived. Franco, who took us to our room doubles as the hotel bartender at night. I booked Room 1. The canopy bed and the fresco on the ceiling created a lovely atmosphere. You can see the street from the window and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the restaurants at night, but if you close the inner window, you won't be bothered by conversations. The breakfast was also delicious, and I was very satisfied.

Short walk to walled city, safe neighborhood but most of all fantastic staff. I have never seen a group of people that are so kind, helpful and willing to do anything for their customers. We had an incident that required an ambulance in the very early hours of the morning. The staff couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. The property is so unique and we loved our loft room that had plenty of space for our family of 5. Highly recommend taking the bikes they have available to ride around the city. One of our trip highlights!
The Palazzo Alexander is the most accommodating place we stayed at on our trip. Mario is a true gentleman who is a wealth of information. This is a great hotel in a lovely town.
This is a fabulous, stylish hotel decorated in beautiful neutral colours but the staff in particular are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. There is no restaurant as such but the breakfast is super and we enjoyed the light lunches they offer. It is rated as a four star hotel but compared to other four stars we have stayed at in Italy, this hotel is far superior. (We also stayed in the last week of the season so the hotel was competitively priced compared to spring and summer).
