The staff were very helpful and at breakfast on the first day I asked for an English breakfast but without the Cumberland sausage. The server suggested an extra slice of bacon instead, which was very welcome.. Sadly, a different server on the second day did not make the same offer and I didn't ask. The displays of marine tropical fish are beautiful and I could have watched them all day
Upon arrival, I experienced a traveler’s worst nightmare. It was completely my fault, I had booked a room at the Oyster Fleet for the right day, but I had got the date wrong and booked my stay for the following week!
The receptionist was extremely helpful in rectifying my mistake, even though it took some time to sort out.

Wow! What a great find! Super close to the Tube, they give a 15% discount on food and drink at the bar when you download their app, it was new, stylish and fun downstairs (busy on a Sunday night!). The food was fab and the staff members were nice and very helpful. The rooms were on the small side but very functional, clean and modern. The shower was great. Will definitely stay here again!!!
We had a fabulous experience at Channels Lodge. The location in a peaceful country setting, the room with up-to-date facilities and clean, well appointed and lots of electrical connections. The staff so welcoming. From this time on this will be our destination when we visit relatives nearby.
This experience was exactly what we needed! Clean, comfortable and efficient. It didn’t affect my rating personally, but it was quite noisy due to thin walls and being able to hear all the comings and goings. So just be aware! It didn’t bother us… we had a lovely stay! Staff was also super nice and we loved the self serve grab and go snacks for our late nights coming back when we needed a little something to eat. We would definitely stay here again!
Loved the location and lobby design. Our room was small but we knew it would be beforehand. The food was as good as it could be for Britain & the staff was very welcoming and friendly (especially Erica!).
