It has been rennovated quite tastefully. I would personally prefer that they have kept the old beams visible but that is a matter of taste.
The ceiling in our room was a little low. No problem for me (182 cm) but for a large person it would be a bit cramped.

Liono was such a special place to stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was superb, with so many offerings! We love to walk, so the 15 minute walk to town was to our liking. Everything about Liono suited us and we would stay again if we are in the area!

Historic hotel located at the edge of the old town. The rooms have been recently remodeled and ours was comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good - better than most these days. Friendly host - many languages spoken & guests were from many lands.
First off: The staff was phenomenal! From the front desk, to the restaurant (thanks for preparing my complimentary Tiramisu at 10:45pm!), to the cleaning crew, they were all amazing.
The hotel has the best location given that is is right on the Markplatz. Easy walk to explore the town. Added bonus is the parking onsite for 10 Euros a day.
The room was bigger than I needed it to be, since it was over two stories. But it was very clean and pretty modern. Very comfortable bedding.
