Such a lovely and peaceful retreat, with truly hospitable owners.

I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.

What a beautiful place

The hotel was lovely! The grounds are beautiful, with fruit trees and flowers. There is a nice area around the hot tub to sit and relax and two swings if you have children. The breakfast was very nice; fresh fruit bowl, freshly made juice, scrambled eggs and toast with butter and jam. The coffee and hot water for tea are on all day. This hotel is a gem! It seems like a 5 star retreat. We checked in extremely late due to our international flight and a simple email to the hotel was responded with assurances our room would be waiting, and it was. Besides being a clean, beautiful and comfortable hotel, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTRODINARY. I forgot my family's passports and money in the hotel safe and left for the airport which is 40 min away. I didn't realize my mistake until I was in the airport terminal with only 1 hour before our flight. I’ve traveled all over the world, five countries in the last 12 months. I have to say that this hotel had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I was treated like a king as a regular traveler. I never leave reviews but I want the next traveler to Quito to find this gem.

I arrived very late. The hotel owner was there to greet me and check me in. They accommodated a later breakfast time. Was very happy and would stay again!

My colleague and I had the most wonderful experience at Swissotel, Quito! The staff were amazing, the facilities are beautiful and the location is also great. I would definitely love to visit again! We stayed at Hotel Casa Gardenia for two lovely nights. It's located on a very quiet, nondescript cobblestone street just a few blocks from the Plaza Grande. The owners and staff were all very helpful and gave us a map of the area with recommendations on sites to visit. I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.

The entire hotel is fresh, new, very tastefully decorated, very roomy, quiet and comfortable. In a quiet neighborhood, but just a short walk to great restaurants and nightlife. This was possibly the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. We were greeted warmly at check-in, the hotel manager was very helpful and courteous, the facilities were beautiful and in excellent condition, and the breakfast was exceptionally good.

NH Collection Quito was an oasis. Rooms were super clean and spacious. The front desk gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants. We had stayed in the historic center the week before. We were really glad we came to this area for a change.

Every thing was great except when smoke from the smoking area came into dining area; they should install a fan to further provide escape of smoke from smoking area.

Spent 4 nights at this hotel in Feb 2018. It is located within an easy 3 minute walk to Plaza Grande on Venezuela St. Tell your taxi driver "Venezuela y Olmedo" that will get you to the nearest corner. The hotel is above a gift shop so you have to be let in/out by the staff. There is a buzzer at the door, and they answer quickly. This is an extra security measure and was not an inconvenience. I'm almost afraid to rate this place, because if it gets too popular, will I still be able to get a room again? . . . Actually, I shouldn't even use the term "room." The "rooms" are quite spacious, especially if you pay a few dollars more and graduate to a 35 sq. meter palace, like I did. Good sized bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room, patio balcony.
