Perfect quality hotel. The building and the rooms are well maintained and clean. The staff if helpful and friendly. Very good. Enjoyed our quick stay in the hotel’s traditional rooms. Breakfast was amazing and delish. Loved the white chandelier ballroom. Did not have time to use the spa. Instead we walked to Piran and enjoyed the beautiful Adriatic views with the alps on the horizon.
Great hotel that isn't far from Trieste. Parking is for free on the street, but if you arrive in the evening parking is available very close. Room was cozy and will stay here again in the future.

The Grand Hotel Duchi d'Aosta opened in 1873 and still has the look of an older era-- but with all necessary updates for comfort. The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable, breakfast was delightful (would have liked to have it outside, but some noisy construction was currently going on), and the hotel feels like it's at the center of things with its location on Piazza Unita' d'Italia. Alas, we only had a day, but I would happily return.
