"The staff were very pleasant and helpful, which I really appreciated since I don't speak Chinese. The front desk staff's English was quite good. The room was excellent -- modern and clean, with one of the nicest bathrooms I've seen. The hotel is conveniently located in the New Bund area of Shanghai, across the street from NYU Shanghai, around the block from a 7-11, and a few blocks from an enormous shopping mall (Taikoo Li). I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the food looked good as I passed by."

"The hotel was very clean, and the gym was excellent. The staff at the hotel entrance were especially helpful and provided great service. The location was also very convenient, with easy access to the metro, making it simple to get to Disney. The only issue that affected our stay was the shower water pressure, which was quite low and the water flow was very weak. Other than that, we had a very good experience."

"My recent stay at MGM West Bund Shanghai was one of the best experiences I have had. Compared to other luxury hotels in Shanghai as well as in other known brands in Asia, this one stands out. The overall staff and reception are genuinely warm and responsive. The normal room is really large at 60 square meters and well appointed with unobstructed river views. I am particular about bedding comfort and quality of amenities. This hotel does not disappoint. Spent some time at the nearby Gate M riverside open air mall with an abundance of nice restaurants. View is amazing too. Will return for future stays. It’s not far from the city center anyway but in a modern clean district."
