Hotels in Historic East Village

This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely beautiful historic building with a grand scale and fully updated modern rooms. The design and comfort is impeccable. Large room and bathroom, but not so large that it isn’t cozy. Perfect in my opinion. The onsite dining options are fantastic for world class breakfast lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. All staff are so personable and friendly! Parking here is $25, but the parking garage across the street is $10. The happy hour they have is so fun and has great snacks and drinks! Pool is a good size too. Rooms are very spacious with a pretty comfy bed!

First time staying in a Staybridge. Love it! Only thing I can say is you need better maintenance on your Heater/AC unit filters as it was filthy.

I always love my stays at the AC Hotel Des Moines. The staff are always friendly. I got to meet the new front desk host Heather, who was great. Tim, the shuttle driver, is always so good and so accommodating, and always asks how my mom is doing. And it was good to see Quincy again, also on shuttle duty, and Sheila at the front desk. I didn’t get a chance to see Nicholas and Peyton this trip, which is a shame b/c they always make me feel welcome and I’ve known Nicholas for probably six...

Stayed for a swim meet. Great location. Lauren the server at lobby bar/restaurant was awesome!! Rooms were crisply comfortable.

I wanted to find a place to get away for a day and relax. The hotel was great. There wasn't alot of people there so i had the pool all to myself. rooms are very modern and beds are super comfortable. I stayed in a king size suite and would definitely stay there again. The free breakfast in the morning was also a great added bonus.

central location for our travel

The room was excellent…clean, spacious, and modern. It was nice to have a little sectional for our family to lounge on instead of always being on the beds. Beds were comfortable…down pillows and comforter. Rooms were nice and quiet! I couldn't ever hear other doors closing or people above us. The breakfast was complimentary and was delicious! My kids loved the French toast! It’s too bad there wasn’t a hot tub but the pool area was nice and warm. The kids swam forever because the water was...

It was conveniently located next to a grocery store with a coffee shop inside, a pharmacy, a gas station a couple of restaurants and literally right next to the airport. It was a bit noisy at times because of the air traffic, but otherwise, not a bad location. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. And just a few minutes drive from downtown. We'll be staying here again!

In town for a wedding, the hotel staff allowed us to check in early to get get changed. Very accommodating, cleand and super comfortable. Would stay hear again.

Checked in fast and easy. Friendly staff Breakfast area had a wide variety of foods. When entering the hotel it was welcoming.

Lisa at the front desk was a breath of fresh air, she was nice, friendly, kind and very helpful. The world needs more people like Lisa
