"The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay in Kyoto this fall. Walking distance to so many temples, gardens, steps from the Geisha district, shopping & restaurants. The pictures I saw on google maps of the street and immediate surroundings looked a little iffy, but it was just fine, and very quiet. The hotel was absolutely spotless and very comfortable; the staff fabulous, and the small restaurant well run with a very decent breakfast at a reasonable price. It is also only a short block...

"We (family of four) stayed in the deluxe suite and loved the space and amenities it offered. Two bathrooms, two washer/dryers, two kitchen/dining spaces and a large outdoor area were absolute luxury after the small hotel rooms we had been staying in. The location is great. It was an easy walk to Pontocho alley, Nishiki market and the Gion district and vey close to the subway to jump on trains to other locations we wanted to visit. "
