This was a great find. Location was excellent with many eateries and sights close by. Minutes from the theater district. Safe area to walk at night. The service by the hotel staff is second to NONE.
We stayed at the Tango de Mayo Hotel on the backend of a multi-week trip to Argentina, right before heading home. After staying at a larger hotel closer to the Casa Rosada at the beginning of the trip, and then staying at several much smaller boutique hotels in Uruguay, the Tango de Mayo felt like is struck just the right balance between character and convenience. Hotel is a high level business-oriented facility. Many of the guests appeared to be professionals visiting Argentina on business. Large number of airline crew present as well. Check-in was smooth, though for persons arriving on early flights, getting to your room might be a problem. I was upgraded for a moderate rate and got a room on the executive floor right away.
Spent 4 nights at the Kenton Palace! It was a wonderful experience! The hotel is perfectly located in San Telmo; we were able to walk, use the metro and easily catch a cab to fully explore all the area had to offer. The staff were exceptional; Gustovo, Alex and Max were super! Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! The Scala Hotel has an amazing staff and you will notice from the very beginning. Check-in was very fast and the room I was assigned was very large, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Room service is cheap and the food is amazing.
Loved the soccer theme. Breakfast included and good. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Good advice about how to get places. We would stay there again.
Very comfortable staying. Good size of rooms. Close to “Casa Rosada” and “obelisco”. You can walk throughout very nice streets from the hotel. In general, very convenient for turists.

this is a super hotel. Price is unbeatable!!! I guess the only issue is that if you arrive or leave on Sundays during the antique market, cabs cannot get close to the hotel.
On a pleasant quiet side street but just a few blocks away from Santa Fe street made our stay very pleasant the staff was courteous and helpful. And being small we didn’t have to waste time walking thru large lobbies. With only a few rooms per floor there were no long hallways.
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Tryp Hotel in Buenos Aires from for 9 nights in August. And we were pleased we did!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful with a warm beautiful homey feeling. The patio is warm and earthy. The breakfast media lunas and dulces de leche were phenomenal. Clean and well kept with a super comfortable bed. Large rooms with plenty of closet space and great water pressure in the shower. Perfect boutique hotel with great restaurants and boutique shops. One of the best hip areas in Buenos Aires. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Argentina.
