"Jem was an excellent host. Great breakfast. Would have preferred a softer bed - but it is Japan!! Great spot if you have the Hakone free pass. Highly recommend to other travellers. "

"We loved the Japanese tradition of this hotel. The location was beautiful and beside a golf course. The onsen was stunning. The location was a bit tricky but busing and tacos are options to head into Gora for restaurants. "

"Hakone Hotel is an older hotel that is well maintained with the staff creating a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel is designed so that all rooms have a view of lake Ashi that is enhanced by a large picture window. We will definitely choose this hotel if we return to Hakone"

"This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!"

"Absolutely amazing experience. The meals were tremendous and the stay so relaxing for the family. Would highly recommend"

"We loved our stay at Suiun! Super relaxing place, kicked off with a snack and some tea. We thoroughly enjoyed the private bath in our room, the private baths available first-come-first-serve and the public ones too. We also got massages to cap off our evening, which were lovely. The staff was exceedingly kind and helpful, and the facilities were great. We'd definitely stay here again!"

"정말 모든게 좋았습니다. 입구에서 처음 방문날부터 다음날 나갈때 까지 특별히 친절하신 호텔리어 매니저님 너무 감사합니다. 알콜포함 드링크 및 온천도 너무 깨끗하고 좋았어요. 로비에 있는 화로앞에서 도란도란 얘기하는 시간도 최고였습니다. 또 갈게요!"

"Great room and vibes, the traditional food is intense but its dead on exactly how locals eat at ryokans"

"Great location, friendly staff and amazing property. No issues throughout our stay and the room, view was amazing. Definitely on my re-visit list. "
