Palace Hotel & Spa Buxton
8/10 Good
"We stayed for 2 nights, the hotel looks very nice from the outside & the foyer is well maintained. The room was fit for purpose, there is no room service while we stayed & if towels or extra coffee are needed then reception needs to be contacted. The bed was king size, but it was 2 beds pushed together, but was comfortable for staying there. The parking is extra, £5 per 24 hours, & the car park is big, so we had no issues with parking, although if an event was on, it may fill up quickly. The hotel is also close to the railway station & the town centre is easy to walk to."

"All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, very clean and well-maintained. The history of the building is fascinating."
Leopold Hotel

"Good and helpful staff who were pleasant and professional. Tasty breakfast downstairs with plenty of food. It was busy with a pleasing atmosphere. Bedroom was fine - first one a bit dark so reception changed for a lighter one. This was overlooking the square which on a Saturday night has loud music until 2am. Perhaps not a good change. Hotel attractive looking with a bit of history. Very central location so very easy to walk everywhere."

Village Hotel Manchester Hyde
10/10 Excellent
"Large Room, Convenient Parking and a fantastic pool. We booked a family room as no twins available and the room was huge...separate bedroom and living room with Sofa bed. The sofa bed was adequate for one night but the mattress wasn't very thick so not the most comfortable. The standout was the staff. They helped accomodste s ground floor room as the lift wasnt working and were so helpful when we thought we had lost an item in the room. The pool and wet spa are fantastic and well worth the supplement..we paid for late checkout so we could use the facilities on the morning before our long drive home ."
