National Museum of Ancient Art is just one of the attractions in Lisbon City Center, Estrela so you might want to stop by during your trip. Our travelers also like this historical area for its riverfront setting. If you want to experience more of the culture Estrela has to offer, head to São Bento Palace, Mercado da Ribeira, and LxFactory.
If museums are on your list, you might want to check out the upcoming exhibitions at Puppet Museum in Lisbon City Center. You can also discover the art galleries and monuments in the area. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you want to see more of the museums in Estrela, you can easily walk to National Museum of Ancient Art or Pharmacy Museum.
If you want to see a show while you're in town, try and grab some tickets at A Barraca Theater in Lisbon City Center. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. If you enjoy the show and want to see another, Coliseu dos Recreios, Fado in Chiado, and Trindade Theater are not far.
This is a very small, unique boutique hotel very strange when you first go in lots of stairs, but the rooms are extremely comfortable. Bed is excellent shower and toilet work great and the option for breakfast is worth the €20 staff extremely friendly and helpful and the place has got a really cool vibe no parking, but maybe if the owner likes you you could use his spot.
I thought this hotel was perfect for families! The bunk bed rooms are ideal and a great use of space for our family of 4. The kids thought it was really fun and we had plenty of room for all. We also loved the rooftop pool and bar space, especially after a long day of touring around. It’s very family friendly and convenient. We were able to walk to several restaurants and had some fun shopping in the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this hotel if you like staying away from city center...
I've been to Lisbon on many occasions and this is by far the best hotel I've ever stayed. I've stayed at the Ritz, Tivoli, and Vermelho (Christian Louboutin hotel in Melides) and none of them compares to Jardim da Lapa. Jardim da Lapa is a chic and quiet place, where you will feel at home. Lapa is the best neighborhood in Lisbon, quiet and residential and, yet, close to the best restaurants and attraction of town. Breakfast a Jardim da Lapa is absolutely extraordinary with a huge variety of...
The property was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was first class. Very polite and helpful with any questions we had. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Lisbon.
The Alegria is pleasant, charming hotel in an older part of the city. We had stayed at a large chain hotel further from the city center for four days, then visited Porto for three, and we chose the Alegria for a final night in Lisbon before flying home.
We took advantage of a great deal on this hotel through Expedia on a wonderful corner suite on the third floor, for less than we would have paid for almost any 3- or 4-star hotel in a good part of the city that week in September, which is...
Excellent… Staff. Location. Breakfast. Clean room and great AirCon. Everything about this place is great. Be prepared to climb a set of winding stairs to reception and breakfast. Located right next to Santa Justa Lift.
Rossio Plaza and train station within 3 minute walk. Gloria Funicular 8 minute walk. Grocery stores nearby. Easy to take Metro, trains and trams.
5pm cake. Coffee and tea anytime. Breakfast starts at 8am. The staff are all fabulous.
We loved staying here.
A sunset tip - take...
We stayed at the Wilde Aparthotels in Lisbon and the rooms were clean, cozy, quiet, and the hotel is in a good location. Close to the airport, close to metro stations like Marques de Pombal. A 15 minute walk from Baixa via Av. Liberdade. Staff was great! Joanna at the front desk was super helpful as was all of the staff. The hotel is not in the tourist areas of Baixa, Chiado, Alfama, etc. But I actually liked that because it felt more local. Next time we’re in Lisbon would definitely choose them...
Amazing service. Front desk so helpful. Room was very nice and super quiet. Excellent location. Walking distance to many sights. Breakfast was much better than i was expecting from a small hotel Great hidden gem. Highly recommend. Service some of the best I have had.
This was a wonderful place to stay! The place was beautiful, and the rooms were nice and clean with room service daily. There was also A full breakfast each morning that was a great start to our day! This was our first time in Portugal so really weren't sure where to stay. This is just a walking distance to restaurants, shops and the subway. We were very happy and would definitely recommend this place on your vacation and would stay here again if I was to come back.
A 6 night stay. The a/c did not work as we reported and we changed rooms. Staff very helpful. The electrical outlet by the bed was not operational. Bathroom door out of alignment and did not close. Wood floor in around toilet is stained (water marks) and not hay We expect on a $200 Euro/ night room.
Very clean and modern, adjustable air conditioning, amazing breakfast, super nice staff, comfy bed and nice shower. And the view of the street from the balcony is really nice, you can watch the trams go by
