My husband and I didn't know what to expect. We pulled up right after dark and we were greeted with a hotel that resembled a castle all lit up and beautiful. The staff (Tom and Tom) were outstanding and incredibly helpful. We decided to stay in and eat/drink in the restaurant which was had great food. What a pleasant stay. The property is a short walk from the train station; go out, turn left and keep left until you see the building. The housekeeper is very kind and accommodating. The city’s ocean front is comfortable with benches and picnic tables, plus walkable beach reaches. If you enjoy watching happy dogs, this place will make your smile extreme (yes, I love dogs). We stayed at LuLus the night before starting the C2C hike. The location is very convenient to the train station and within walking distance to several restaurants, and the trail entrance. Our room was clean and comfortable, and our host was welcoming.
I only stayed for one night and therefore didn't have time to explore the surroundings fully. However, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the breakfast had everyyhing and more you could expect . The location is excellent and I would certainly consider using it as a base for any furture planned visits in and around the Keswick area.
A fantastic family run B&B. Our 1st time here, albeit, we may have stayed in the Lakes over two dozen times. Very friendly services. Excellent breakfast. Andy and Micheal are truly making our 3 nights stay better than most hotels we have stayed at in the Lake District.
The facility is a beautiful historic building with picturesque grounds. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 day. Food and wine were terrific and the very busy owners helped us with some very silly requests to operate the radiator and find global news on the TV. I highly recommend this fine hotel!
This was a gorgeous hotel in a great location. We were able to park our car very easily and walk into town for dinner each night. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We had a great 3 night stay here.
Dale was a tremendous help in securing a dinner for us.
He gave great instructions on the hike from the hotel too.
What a beautiful property and we didn’t hesitate to ask for help.
