Very nice staff. Spacious and clean room. Did not eat at the hotel so can’t speak to food options. This is a very old building with a need for some exterior attention but the interior and staff make it well worth the visit.
My husband and I didn't know what to expect. We pulled up right after dark and we were greeted with a hotel that resembled a castle all lit up and beautiful. The staff (Tom and Tom) were outstanding and incredibly helpful. We decided to stay in and eat/drink in the restaurant which was had great food. What a pleasant stay. The property is a short walk from the train station; go out, turn left and keep left until you see the building. The housekeeper is very kind and accommodating. The city’s ocean front is comfortable with benches and picnic tables, plus walkable beach reaches. If you enjoy watching happy dogs, this place will make your smile extreme (yes, I love dogs). This is a beautiful and cozy house, aged but well maintained. The host is really kind and nice. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, breakfast is fantastic. Kids love to play with the dog. Everything is wonderful, highly recommended.
This was the best stay on our two-week trip. The room was the biggest, and it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. And our host, Mick, was wonderful to talk to. Plus, we got to participate in Quiz Night! I was surprised to enter a B&B through the bar, but once I figured it out, that was fine, too. A most enjoyable evening and a great stay.
