Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent staff and amenities"
Dakota Eurocentral
10/10 Excellent
"Our first time at this specific hotel, but also any of the hotels in this chain. It is a modern, stylish hotel, which we found to be very clean throughout. We received a warm welcome from the staff and, throughout the staff we interacted with were friendly, polite and helpful. Parking is first come first served, but plentiful and free - just remember to use the tablet. Rooms were fresh, bright and airy. Spacious, stylish and comfortable rooms and with working air con. The bathrooms were also a good size and well appointed. Our shower had a cracked hand shower head which meant it leaked out the handle a little - no biggie. An addition of a small fridge to the room would definitely be welcomed, given there’s nothing much around the hotel. Glasgow took us about 20 mins to drive into, Edinburgh 40 mins. Would definitely stay in this hotel again when in this part of the world, and would like to try their other locations. It reminded us of Malmaison some years ago, before they became more of a budget brand with a high price tag."

"Hope to come back again. This is an old building but well-maintained. It was disappointing to have to pay for parking but all else was great,"
Apex Dunblane Hydro Hotel

"Lovely hotel. Room had just been refurbished ."
Richmond Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Excellent view and very good bed, but hairdryer wasn’t working."
The City Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Brilliant stay, couldn't recommend more! room was super clean. bathroom looked brand new, there was a mirror with heating & backlight! hotel was bigger than i expected, so i was pleasantly surprised by the experience. location is great, staff were great, breakfast was included with a varied selection, all the staples (full breakfast, benedict, eggs on toast, porridge, cereal, fruit, tea/coffee/juice etc) available with choice of hot/cold options. check in and check out was easy, staff all very friendly, will be recommending it and staying again, if needed. Dunfermline abbey is basically across the road and a big park nearby for a bit of sightseeing, the airport is about 30min drive away (depending on traffic) and Edinburgh city centre about 30-40min as well."
Metro Inns Falkirk
8/10 Good
"Room was very basic, just a sink and a wall rack with some coat hangers on. There was a tv but I don’t really watch tv. Walls could’ve done with a coat of paint but the carpet was clean and the bedding also. Pretty much the cheapest I could find in the area and I was only there for one night so was perfectly adequate for my needs. Toilets and showers were in the halls of the hotel, not in room so if you’re fine with that, good. Don’t be expecting Premier Inn style in room amenities. A couple of toilets and I think a shower room were out of order but this didn’t cause any issues at all. Staff were very friendly and polite, couldn’t have asked for more. There was an ample kitchen space with fridges/freezers, kettle, microwave and even a couple of hobs for cooking. Overall I was happy with my stay and would use this business again, although if I’d had my kids with me I would’ve probably wanted bathroom amenities in my room. For short stays of a few days I would definitely recommend, for longer stays or travelling with younger children I would want an in room bathroom."

"Great place to use as an airport layover stop."
Norton House Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful resort just on the fringes Edinburgh, spectacular spa facilities. The room was spacious, clean, with lots of character. The indoor swimming pool is clean, modern, with sauna room, hot tub and other amazing alternatives to relax. We travelled by car and we found it very easy to visit the old city by dropping our vehicle in the nearby park and ride and catch a tram from there. The restaurant is great, excellent steakes, atmospheric and a gigantic pizza for the kid...the only small complain is that the service was a bit distracted for this kind of fine dining experience, asked for the dessert menu three times then decided to just ask the bill. Just a minor issue, overall great experience and we'll try other options from the same hotel chain closer to home."
