Well placed hotel to walk into Stirling for a castle visit and to visit Bannockburn House. I arrived early but had no issues being able to park my car then go off for a walk before checking in later. The room and ensuite were clean and well presented. Bit surprised I had to book a table for dinner and breakfast. Be warned. Dinner was a revelation! Was able to add haggis to my meal for a nominal charge. Never tried haggis before. It tasted amazing! 😆 The buffet breakfast also allowed me to try black pudding for the first time. Also tasted amazing! Plenty of choice at breakfast.

I almost wrote this hotel off, given that from the outside it looks like soldier accommodation in Aldershot. How wrong was I. The hotel, its staff and the food are all nothing short of exceptional. I travel alone a lot for work, and this place by far exceeded all expectations.

Excellent place to stay

Reception was very nice receptionists was friendly & polite our double room was clean had everything I needed like hair dryer big mirror we had dinner/tea in hotel was very nice nothing was to much bother for the staff we meet bar was spacious & clean would definitely stay here again
Steak pie was nice my partner said pastry a little dry for him but we asked for more gravy & that sorted the problem cleared the plate
I had the lasagna it was very tasty really enjoyed my meal & it wasn’t badly priced
