"Loved this place. Great location, 3 minute drive to town. So clean, and cute."

"Great, quaint, and rustic place to stay just 15 minutes from Friday Harbor. A very quiet, peaceful, and charming resort, ideal for anyone wanting an amazing stay on San Juan Island, away from Friday Harbor. Very well maintained, with friendly staff and fantastic seating. What a winning combination!"

"Delightful hosts, Jill and Charles. Friendly and welcoming. Lovely room in an historic hotel with antique furnishings, very charming. Attractive deck to sit outside and sip a glass of wine. Fabulous, innovative breakfasts."

"The hotel was lovely with a beautiful view of the harbor."

"Hotel was charming right in the center of the little village. A bonus was breakfast !"

"The Outlook exceeded our expectations; great in all areas, room, amenities, staff and dining. A wonderful place for an anniversary getaway. We hope to visit again in 2027."

"We absolutely loved our time at this cabin! The grounds, the waterfront and the dock were beautiful. The place was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. We spent hours just sitting by a fire and playing cards. Everything was easy and welcoming from start to finish. Already planning our next trip back — it was the perfect getaway!"

"Stayed in one of the cottages on the property, location is in walking distance of the ferries and downtown Friday Harbor with restaurants and brewpubs close by. Breakfast needed to be ordered a day in advance (no buffet), but it was excellent. Could become my preferred stay in Friday Harbor. "

"Clean with good sized room. Very close to shops and restaurants. Would stay again."

"Roche Harbor has many different accommodations, so know what you want before making reservations. The staff was very professional and courteous."

"Nice play to stay just outside of the main town area which makes it a quiet place to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The convenience of having the cafe at the hotel was great. Especially, since most coffee shops do not open on Saturdays in Friday Harbor. I would definitely stay there again."

"It was walking distance to Friday Harbor and very quiet. The staff was very friendly!!! I’ll definitely be staying here again."

"Having stayed at Bird Rock and Earthbox I'd choose Earthbox for my next visit to Friday Harbor. Both properties are well decorated and maintained but, despite Bird Rock's convenience, for those who are walking from the ferry, Earthbox has the advantage of being a quiet location who's rooms ( or at least my room ) have sleeping areas that are not flooded with light ( during typical sleeping hours). The staff are very helpful and welcoming."

"Amazing location in Friday Harbor! I love a good motel for easy of use in parking directly in front of your hotel room door but this place took it to another level with wonderful seating areas, a breakfast cafe and amazing plantings all around."

"Large balcony, clean bathrooms and price."

"Cute cabin, comfy bed, everything we needed. Wished we had more time there."

"Food was good. Great view"
