Cortez was well located on my driving route. The town offered a good variety of dining options and was an attractive little town with good fuel options as well. One note on dining is that many restaurants shut down at 9PM, so plan accordingly.

Small town, but they do have all the conveniences. We like the proximity to Four Corners, Hovenweep, Mesa Verde, and other Puebloan cultural and historical sites

Cortez is such a cool town. It feels trapped in time and a slower pace of life, but with all the modern conveniences you could want.

Great place to stay if you're visiting Mesa Verde or stopping over on the way to Moab.
"The room was so-so not where we would normally stay! But the outside area and club room were amazing if I was traveling with children it would be perfect! The grounds are beautiful! Breakfast wasn’t very good we actually passed. "
"Price was good. Reasonable. Bathroom door in the room was broken, could only be closed or opened with excessive force. Rm 132, I reported it upon checkout 7/18/25. Staff friendly and said it would be fixed."
