The Kingswood
8/10 Good
"We stayed for 2 nights. The building has a brand new feel (probably becuase it is - almost - having suffered a fire a few years ago) and is decorated and furnished to a high standard. It is close to a reasonably busy road but our room was at the back and it was very quiet. There is a huge car park. Our room was large and comfortable and well "specced". We had a couple of problems, namely that 1) wifi wasn't working in the hotel for guests. It was down until the evening of day 2 which was a pain (we reported it at 3pm check-in on day 1) as we couldn't get any phone signal inside the hotel 2) the safe wasn't working which was a minor issue but batteries were on order so it wasn't fixed during our stay. Despite those issues we would stay again. The walk along the Pentewan trail starts next door to the hotel and is a lovely flat c2 mile route down to the coast."
Gwyndra House B&B
10/10 Excellent
"Gwyndra was a lovely clean B & B. My room was spacious and comfortable. It’s in a great location with the train and bus station over the road and a short walk into town. It has a real family run feel and I had such a lovely welcome. I really liked being able to customise my breakfast as I am quite a fussy eater. I would definitely love to stay next time I am visiting my friend in the area."
Mevagissey Bay Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"An excellent week's stay at this hotel. Sam, Roy and the team made us feel very welcome. Hotel is very clean and comfortable with a nice well stocked bar! Breakfast was a lovely treat with variety on offer. Fantastic views with a short walk down the hill to good pubs and eateries. Would recommend and hope to return in the future."
The Ship Inn
8/10 Good
"Ancient history, located in the middle of an old fishing village. The staff helpful and friendly. The area in the bar/restaurant was quite dark. The key hole to the room was too near the door frame, making it difficult to use."
Pochin House Collections
10/10 Excellent
"Really incredible stay. Great location. Apartment was well equipped "
