The Farmhouse
10/10 Excellent
"The Farmhouse appeared to be run as a family concern and each family member did their job brilliantly. Such lovely people, always smiling and always wanting to be helpful. The attention to detail was extraordinary from the flowers that were fresh on the dining tables and that blossomed throughout our stay to the folding of my wife’s night shirt and placement on the pillow. We absolutely loved the place. Normally you notice a few knocks and bangs even in the most expensive hotels, not so in the Farmhouse, it was impeccably looked after in every detail. And then we get to the food. Oh my goodness, how we came away not weighing a couple of stone more is an absolute miracle, breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had anywhere bar none! Dinner was amazing, especially the beef short ribs which I had twice just to see if it was always that good…….it was! If I’d been at home I’d have licked the plate! Ok, so the pool was empty, but that really didn’t matter, it’s autumn and we wouldn’t have used it anyway. Plus there are plenty of pools available for free in St Peter Port! Highly recommend this place, it was a fantastic stay."
The Pandora Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent breakfast, and Katarina at the desk is nice"
Les Douvres Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"4 day break on Guernsey at this delightful hotel. The room was adequate with a very comfortable bed. If it was 5 star it could do with a new carpet, but it isn't so that was fine by us. It was quiet and had a pleasant small balcony. Breakfast was very good with all the usual choices and the dining was very good with a varied menu plus a well stocked bar. The best feature is the staff for whom nothing was a problem. The were personable, smiley and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay at Les Douvres."
Grange Lodge Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff very friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and always served with a smile. Reading room was a bonus, very comfortable and quiet with door to beautiful garden. Rooms were clean, water pressure in shower was not great but adequate. Double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together but they didn’t actually match. 1 was comfortable though. Despite that I would definitely recommend it and will definitely stay again."
Duke of Normandie Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed on the 9th and again on the 13th for two separate nights. The first nights room was on the ground floor and suited us perfectly. The second nights room was on the third floor up quite a lot of stairs and along many corridors. We were asked if we wanted help with the luggage, thank you. Although the rooms contained the same elements, it felt smaller as it was in the roof space. It felt hot but a fan was provided. The staff are all lovely, welcoming and helpful and we will continue to return when visiting Guernsey. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. There is parking if needed. Would always recommend this hotel."
Fermain Valley Hotel
8/10 Good
"The hotel is very child-friendly, clean, and in a great location with beautiful sea views. The staff were responsive to queries via Hotels.com, and the receptionist was very helpful in arranging a taxi to the airport. The only downside was a planned road closure on the main road, which meant buses could not reach the hotel and the nearest stop was around a 20-minute walk away. We had to walk about 25 minutes from the bus stop before the diversion, so it would have been helpful to know about this in advance to arrange transport. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel to families!"
Best Western Moores Central Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Public areas refurbished to a very high standard, the room we had was quite spacious but a little dated, but its obvious they invest and upgrade on an ongoing basis. The highlight was the location - walkable to everything, and also the food offer. We dined twice - a good value but beautiful 3 course dinner in the conservatory restaurat one evening and then excellent dinner in J Parkers restaurant on the second night. we had fabulous breakfast each morning and also afternoon tea in the patisserie. Excellent food, very good service and friendly staff."
Le Friquet Country Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our family have used this hotel when visiting family in Guernsey for many years . The staff are always very welcoming in all area of the hotel. We were happy to receive an upgraded room on this occasion. Everything was super clean. Gorgeous bed linen and the comfiest pillows. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the carvery on Sunday was one of the nicest we’ve had"
Best Western Hotel de Havelet
10/10 Excellent
"Hotel was in a beautiful position for views. The hill is steep but worth the effort. Food very good and staff very helpful. I would stay here again"
