There’s nothing like a warm welcome and deeply curious staff, invested in their craft and your experience. We arrived to a beautiful hotel and a team that wanted to know about us, genuinely curious, led by the remarkable Francois who, once he learned that we were going to walk the Puy, shared an enthusiasm that was infectious. That the rooms are gorgeous is almost a given. They are. As are the pool and bar. Francois embodies grace. Wow.
Best feature is proximity (within a few minutes of walking) to transportation (across the street express train to/from airport, metro station, high speed train station). There is a mall next to the hotel. We are not too crazy about the fast food restaurants there, but they are convenient for emergency situation. Guests expect reasonable TV coverage. In this instance reception was scrambled and was entirely French coverage. Some international coverage (CNN, BBC) and English language coverage for a sophisticated and cosmopolitan city such as Lyon is needed and a technical upgrade of TV service is needed.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location with easy walking access to all major touristic sites, cafes, and restaurants. Highly recommend getting a superior room with the River view. We had a very pleasant stay & enjoyed talking to friendly & helpful staff. It’s also close to the St Paul Train station. The hotel is very nice. It is well decorated, super well located, and it has a very nice vibe to it.
The building is old, so there are a few things you should take into account: the elevator is small and slow, and halls are small and a bit inconvenient. But the rooms are big and well furnished, very clean, and very nice. The bathroom in my room was very spacey, and well equipped. The room itself had a balcony with a great view of the city, and very good heating.
