Learn more about Anacortes
Ferries chug away from this Fidalgo Island outpost, carrying visitors toward San Juan adventures while others stay to explore closer treasures. Washington Park rewards hikers with dramatic island-dotted seascapes and dense forests. Cap Sante Park offers sunset views that explain why locals tolerate winter rain. Whale watching captains discuss orca pods with neighborly familiarity, while downtown's historic buildings house galleries and seafood spots serving just-caught Dungeness crab. Mount Erie's summit reveals islands scattered across Puget Sound like emeralds on blue velvet. Don't miss the Anacortes Museum for tales of maritime history in this gateway city that keeps its own considerable charms.

The Marina Inn
"We would jump at the chance to stay here again! The staff was friendly, cheerful, and went out of their way to be helpful in very thoughtful ways. There are a number of whimsical touches around the premises. They also had an exhibit of little sailboats decorated by the staff. We were invited to vote for our favorite. There were fresh chocolate chip cookies to greet us upon arrival! The continental breakfast was nice, but not a full hot breakfast. However, there were plenty of options, including yogurt and hard-boiled eggs. The only drawback to the hotel is that there is no elevator, however if that's a problem for you, simply ask for a ground floor room when you book. The Marina Inn is an excellent value, and we highly recommend it."

Inn to the Woods B&B
"It was such a cute place. My husband and I enjoyed our stay there. It is tucked in the woods as the name suggests. The breakfast was very good. We had gluten free lemon blueberry pancakes and they were delicious."
