Near some amazing sights, Sacramento River and lovely trails, Sundial Bridge, Turtle Bay, Mount Shasta. If you have a car and want to drive, 1 hour to Weaverville, 3 hours to Eureka, amazing coastline and the Redwoods are stunning.

Overall, we had a great time in Redding. It's definitely not someplace that I feel safe leaving anything in my car or walking anywhere alone, but it does have a lot to offer by way of dining, entertainment and shopping.

The Reading area has lots of nice things to do with the damn the lake, the cave, and Sundal bridge things and other things. Good place for a great outdoor adventure if you got more time
