We had a wonderful Christmas week at Canal Grande Lodge! Raffael and his staff were excellent hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. The small hotel was quiet and beautifully situated. I was a little worried during the taxi ride to the hotel that I had made a terrible mistake in picking the hotel as some of the areas look a little rough (by American standards), however, once at the gated hotel I realized that I indeed had made a good choice when choosing the location as the property is incredibly calming and beautiful. Just know that since you are out of the city you will need to use Uber eat or a taxi to get food as there is no onsite restaurant.

Posada El Quijote is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful, and the view of San Jose from the inn is outstanding. Bjorn and Alcides helped us book taxi rides, rent a car, find restaurants and attractions, and even upgraded our room and comped our airport transportation after a mixup with our arrival date. Took a while to find the place but when I arrived, finally, the hotel looked very inviting from the outside. I had the upstairs suite with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The only thing was when I got to my room and it was late when I checked in, I didn't realize until an hour later that the cold knob in the shower was broken. No worries though, early next morning I was moved into another suite with my own private garden next to my bedroom. Thanks guys!

The hotel was right next to the airport which was great for our late arrival and early departure from Costa Rica. We arrived at 9:30pm and were able to check in and get a good night rest after our flight. We enjoyed the great breakfast in the morning before heading out. We have always enjoyed staying at this property because it is clean, quiet and has the best breakfast in town. We fly in from Oklahoma and often arrive in San Jose late enough we need to spend the night before going to our home on the South Pacific coast. This is a place you can count on being a good quality hotel.

The hotel is new and modern. The room is comfortable, the breakfast is pretty fantastic and the staff friendly and attentive. It is located near restaurants and a shopping center. I would stay again

Had a hard time finding this place because the online directions were wrong. However, the difficulty finding it was more than outweighed by our experience with the hotel itself. We stayed and Studio Hotel for the second time after the first experience was very pleasurable. The rooms are great, the staff extremely friendly, and the location is hard to beat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in one of the best location in San Jose if not the best. The staff and facilities are excellent. Outstanding breakfast which is already included on the rate.

Super clean, had everything in the kitchen. Good for a cozy couple. New floors, well stocked kitchen. Nice!

Hotel staff was very friendly and professional as was the in-house restaurant. All were more then helpful with local info and obtaining needed transport. Very safe and friendly stay.
