Learn more about Morro Bay
Volcanic Morro Rock stands sentinel over this seaside haven, where sea otters float lazily in the protected harbor. Kayak through the estuary while herons stalk the shallows and harbor seals eye you with casual interest. After exploring Morro Bay State Park's hiking trails, browse the surprisingly excellent Skateboard Museum downtown. Local fishing boats supply waterfront restaurants with catches so fresh they practically introduce themselves. The Art Association Gallery showcases coastal-inspired works, while birders flock to the estuary with expensive binoculars and knowing smiles. For a perfect afternoon, grab fish tacos from a harbor shack and watch the sun paint the volcanic monolith gold as fishing boats return home.

Pacific Point Resort
"The hotel was under construction which we were not told. The staff was great. The hotels elevator was out of service and the rooms had a very bad sulfur smell."
Spyglass Inn
"Dennis at front desk was proficient. Room 137 is perhaps the worst room in the place. Avoid it! There is a view of a wall. The place wasn't even half full & we, new to the area, were put in a dungeon. The wall at the door was crumbling. The beds were very soft & each had 4 nice pillows. One bed was splitting apart (we were curious what brand of bed they had h Beautyrest). The split system cooled well. The fridge was tiny & didn't have a freezer. No Microwave. The heavy curtain for the wall-facing window was difficult to close (dirty or bent track?) Shower ok but nothing special. 3 lamps in room gave just enough light. Bedding good. Carpet old. Desk scratched & old. Tv good but just 2 HBO channels. Wifi - free option: slow. Could pay $15 for better. Front desk had coffee , tea & apples."
Harbor House Inn Morro Bay
"Pet friendly room that was close to the otters."

"Property was as expected as I’ve had multiple stays here. Updated rooms are nice and very accommodating to late arrival."
The Q Inn
"Amazing staff! Family owned and very helpful. Huge plus were the EV charging and amenities. The design is very well done and great quality. Just some things to note- mattress is verryyy firm like almost as though we were sleeping on a wooden box but I don’t mind firm. Also the various remotes and keyless entry can be hard to navigate. I love that kinda stuff but can be difficult if they don’t work properly. All that to say would stay there again 100%!!"

"Location, room, amenities were absolutely amazing the only small issue we had was during check-in, we were handed a key that did not work. I went back down to speak to her about it. She told me I possibly wasn't using it correctly so I went back and did as she said. Still didn't work. Down to the main office I went again. This time another guest was also going to the office because her key was not working. We both stood in there together while front desk finished up check-in for another guest. My turn came and she told me she would come show me how then proceeded to ask the other guest for her key and went to HER room first. I let it slide. My husband and I went back upstairs and waited and she never came. So I went back downstairs to the office again. Once again, a different guest was having issues with her key and as she spoke to me, I said we BOTH are still having issues, front desk took my key, then took the other guests key and asked "do you mind I go to her first?" And I said "Yes I do mind this is twice now that you pushed us aside when we've been waiting!" Anyway, our key was messed up and someone else had to come figure it out for her and let us in our room. Everything else was fine, it was just a bit infuriating to be brushed off twice when we were there first. It did not ruin the day nor the possibility of us going back for another stay."

"Very clean property. Very centrally located which makes its great to walk up and down the Marina."
