Learn more about Visalia
Beneath the shadow of Sequoia National Park, this agricultural hub offers unexpected delights. The Visalia Fox Theatre, a restored 1930s movie palace, hosts performances that draw crowds from across the valley. Mooney Grove Park invites lazy afternoons under ancient oaks, where paddleboats drift across the lake while families picnic nearby. Catch a baseball game at Valley Strong Ballpark, where hot dogs taste better with Sierra Nevada views. Adventure Park delivers family thrills with go-karts and mini-golf that keep kids entertained for hours. Downtown's surprising food scene features farm-to-table restaurants where chefs work with ingredients harvested that morning. Time visits for farmers' markets where locals sell produce so fresh it was in the ground yesterday.

Comfort Inn & Suites Sequoia/Kings Canyon
"The hotel is in a great location close to Sequoia National park and a grocery store. My family also really enjoyed the pool, the fitness center and the free breakfast and coffee. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The only negative is that we had a lot of ants in the room throughout our stay. The staff were apologetic and tried to spray on one occasion but the ants returned and got all over our things. I would still recommend this place though if you’re looking for a comfortable place near Sequoia."

The Darling Hotel
"SUPER cute and adorable place to stay. Very clean and fresh and beds were soft and comfortable. And, it just so happened to be our 22nd anniversary when we were coming through town and needed a place to stay. The rooftop restaurant was amazing and all staff were GREAT! Stay in room 428, it’s right next to the staircase that goes up to the restaurant and bar. The front desk gal was super sweet and helpful. Highly recommend this place!!!"
Comfort Suites Visalia Convention Center
"Quite, cleaned, comfortable, lovely place to stay whatever you want even first time traveler."
Western Holiday Lodge Three Rivers
"The room was decent for something near a National Park. Don't expect luxury furnishings and you won't be disappointed. Only stayed one night and for the most part, it was clean enough. We were a family of four and the room was plenty big. We had three small carry-on luggages with some backpacks and there was ample space to move around. Upside: Bathroom/toilet/shower looked like recent remodel. Simple breakfast was included which was a surprise. Downside: It was hot in August and AC was not working that great. We had the ground floor room and had to keep the shades mostly closed so people would not peer in. Location was about 25min from Sequoia Foothills Visitor Center."
AutoCamp Sequoia
"Amazing unique addition to our sequoia national park adventure. We stayed 2 nights in an airstream. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food at the clubhouse saved us from having to go out after a long day of traveling and trails. The property was in excellent condition."
