Hotels in Fruita

"The guy who takes care of breakfast is really nice and does a good job. Breakfast istypical for this kind of hotel, nothing special. (Hint, hint-Like whipped topping, frozen berries to put on the waffles and in yogurt) We've been staying here for years, as I come in for business several times a year. I feel like it's gone a little downhill. The gym was very dirty and dusty. No wipes for equipment and no yoga mats. Our room was supposed to be pet free. Either someone snuck a pet in or we were put in a pet room. Our allergies were terrible. Light bulb out in the room, TV wouldn't connect, phone wouldn't call the front desk. A herd of elephants were playing soccer in the room above us. Called the front desk about the elephants, it helped for about an hour. Tried to call again and no one would answer. Didn't stop until 10:30 pm. It was a tough stay. BUT!! Location of the hotel is fabulous. When I'm not working, when my wife is with me and we ride along the Riverside trail or bring our mountain bikes. The kokopelli trails (mountain biking) are not far. This time we rode our road bikes on the Colorado National Monument loop with was fantastic. "

"I was a little disappointed, this was my second time staying at this hotel in Grand Junction and I stayed back in November 25 in the same room 400. The Service was wonderful and the people seemed happy but when I returned it seems like things have really slipped at this hotel in terms of Management and how the hotel is being run. The Employees seem very unhappy and stressed and I was even shocked when they didn’t even tell me hours of breakfast or the normal incidental charges or asked me about my stay. I found a hair on the floor when I arrived and then a hand towel with what appeared as an old stain that didn’t get washed correctly before being placed in the dryer. I work at a hotel and I can imagine it can be stressful and frustrating but I had approached a housekeeper on the 04/07 to ask for a garbage bag for my room and I handed her my garbage but in return was given a slight annoyance/frustrated look on her face. She wasn’t wearing a name tag but it was a little disappointing. I had woke up the same morning in hopes to get breakfast for my boyfriend and I around 8:50 AM and they didn’t tell me they had changed their breakfast hours until I arrived with the attendant cleaning the area up and saw the new posted hours which was frustrating but in the past I could still get breakfast. Not sure what has happened between last November and now but I have stayed at many La Quintas and this one has fallen short"

"Small gym, comfy bed & pillows. Easy access from 70, good restaurants in area. Can walk on horizon drive to get some steps in if the traffic doesn’t bother you. "

"was charged $5.00 after my stay without being given a reason. Also room was definitely too expensive for the quality (not 100% clean as well). Pool/atrium was nice and morning guy Shawn was also nice......."
