Learn more about Boyne City
Tucked along Lake Charlevoix's eastern shore, this small waterfront haven offers outdoor adventures for every season. Kayak the crystal waters or cast a line for trophy fish before hiking riverside trails through Young State Park. Downtown streets reveal locally-owned shops and eateries where conversations with shopkeepers come standard with every purchase. Summer brings Peninsula Beach's sandy shores to life, while winter transforms nearby Boyne Mountain into a snowy playground. After exploring Bear River's gentle rapids, sample craft brews at local microbreweries where bartenders share tales of the lake's moody personality. Don't miss Lavender Hill Farm when purple blooms perfume the air and bees perform their drowsy ballet among the fragrant rows.

AmericInn by Wyndham Charlevoix
"Average hotel, good location"
Quality Inn Petoskey
"The hotel was very clean, but it needs some updating. The first room had an odor because the A/C in the room was going bad. The staff was super helpful and switched us to a different room. The other room was better! The only issue it had was the mini fridge didn’t have a freezer (which the first one did-minor inconvenience) and the shower curtain was falling down in the bathroom so it didn’t close properly. The side entry door to the hotel was broken and didn’t close all the way. The continental breakfast had a great selection!! And the all day complimentary waters and coffee are a small amenity that goes a long way!!"
Best Western Gaylord
"Big room, good lighting, had the fridge & microwave, lots of dpace, excellent front desk staff. Only downside was not having sanitizing wipes in the gym."
The Earl
"I loved the modern upgrades and aesthetic. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was conveniently located in walking distance to multiple restaurants, coffee shops, downtown shopping, and views of the lakes. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Two thumbs up!"
Weathervane Terrace Inn and Suites
"Perfect old school hotel for those who don’t need every high end amenity. Great view and restaurant across the parking lot."
Odawa Hotel
"Good value, free breakfast and plenty of free parking. Room was clean, bed comfortable, AC worked good and there's a free shuttle service. The casino has dining options and it's a short distance to various nearby restaurants."
Boyne City Motel
"Great place to stay for a short weekend"
Terrace Inn and 1911 Restaurant
"The Inn is a historic site and was built in 1911 one year before the titanic sank, so there is no elevator for the second or third floors. (Beware if you are elderly or handicapped) Every room is somewhat different so it’s hard to evaluate the other rooms but ours was a corner room with lots of windows and nicely decorated with an electric fireplace. The 1911 restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday so we only ate there once. They didn’t seem to have a breakfast anymore and the restaurant was a little overpriced. There was a nice front and back porch to sit on and meet other travelers. Good place to try if you like historical old buildings."
Crooked River Lodge
"Staff very friendly, rooms were clean, and comfortable setting and lots to do."
