Learn more about St. Johnsbury
Victorian curiosities await at the Fairbanks Museum, where the planetarium offers celestial escapes from small-town life. The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum combines art gallery and library in a building that feels delightfully frozen in time. Dog Mountain presents a uniquely Vermont experience – an art gallery and chapel dedicated entirely to man's best friend. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail cuts through landscapes so perfectly pastoral you'll wonder if they were arranged for your benefit. Maple Grove Farms offers tours where the process of turning tree sap into liquid gold seems like alchemy. Kingdom Trails provides mountain biking that attracts enthusiasts from across the Northeast, though locals still act surprised when you've heard of their little corner of Vermont.

Thayers Inn
"Excellent experience!"
The Wayside Inn
"Lovely family run Inn and restaurant with a big creek behind it. Love the rooms that back up to the creek, such a nice sound to listen to at night. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is an older property so bathrooms are small and some TLC is always needed. Breakfast is homemade and was included in our room rate. The restaurant is one of few in town and serves a very nice selection for dinner plus a bar menu. We would go back."
Hampton Inn Littleton
"The landscaping around the property is exquisite. So beautiful. Staff all very friendly. Have stayed here many times and look forward to returning."
Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa
"We had such a wonderful stay! The room and resort were exceptionally clean, and our cleaner, Theona, did a fabulous job. We honestly haven’t had a room this clean on previous trips. The resort staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always eager to make sure we had everything we needed. The amenities were fantastic, too! We highly recommend this resort for both families and couples. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Great place"
Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch
"We had a nice stay. The downstairs game rooms and sitting areas were so nice and decorated so charming with antiques and memorabilia with plenty of activities to enjoy during your stay. The property also had amazing views of the mountains. We were some disappointed in the room as there were no closets or bureaus and no table or anywhere to put your things except the floor. Also the bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around and again no where to put anything. I understand it is being newly renovated so hope these things can be corrected as we really love the location."
Nootka Lodge
"Place was very nice and clean"
Gale River House - Boutique Hotel
"I loved the location, surroundings - could look directly at the mountains right outside the door. Very clean. Friendly people."
