Learn more about Los Alamos
Atomic history comes alive at the Bradbury Science Museum, where exhibits reveal how Los Alamos scientists created the world's first nuclear weapons. The Los Alamos History Museum offers intimate glimpses into the secretive Manhattan Project that forever changed warfare. Ancient cliff dwellings await at nearby Bandelier National Monument, where ladders lead to rooms carved into canyon walls thousands of years ago. The scenic trails of Valles Caldera National Preserve showcase volcanic landscapes that contrast with the town's scientific focus. This small community perched on four mesas of the Pajarito Plateau feels surprisingly ordinary despite its extraordinary past. In winter, locals hit the slopes at Pajarito Ski Mountain, a modest resort with spectacular views.

The Sage Hotel
"Room was clean, no housekeeping daily but if requested they gladly cleaned your room. Breakfast was very nice, eggs, oatmeal, sausage, potatoes and typical breads. The distance from downtown is a quick 15 minutes walk but if you don’t want to walk there is an in house van. I really liked that Whole Foods is next door to quick snacks etc."
Hotel St Francis
"We had an excellent experience at Hotel St. Francis. Brandon is a great representative for the hotel; he was customer friendly & very efficient. We arrived early & appreciated being granted an early check-in. Our room was very clean & comfortable. The hotel's location is ideal. We enjoyed our time at the Secreto Bar, where Storm took excellent care of my husband & me. We would stay at the hotel again & highly recommend."
Coyote South
"the room was clean with a comfortable bed. the shower was good with all the body wash and shampoo provided. the exhaust fan did not work. a coffee maker was provided, but it did not work. the lobby had a large urn of good coffee available at all times. I had a great parking spot near the door that was always open, very convienent. overall the stay was very good."
Eldorado Hotel & Spa
"Room was clean, could use a little updating. Pool was fun with good drink service. Cava bar had no tapas, disappointing."
Cities Of Gold Casino
"The Casino was very disappointing because there were NO 25cent machines, and only 10–$1 machines. The machines were 95% Penny. And No kind of breakfast!!!"
Hotel Glorieta
"Overall, we loved our stay. The hot tub was relaxing and the grounds were beautiful. Our room was beautiful as well. However, the Glorieta Hotel had a spa-like feel, but unfortunately it didn't have a spa-like smell. The carpets smelled old and musty. I have another trip planned there in the fall for business I hope the smell in the carpets is rectified or you will have a several disappointed customers."
The Mystic Santa Fe
"This place is amazing, we will definitely be staying here again, very well kept property. Food is amazing, the staff is friendly. It’s quiet at night which was a must. Very unique peaceful and relaxing outdoor environment. Room was clean."
La Fonda on the Plaza
"Great location. Excellent restaurant on site. Room were very comfortable. The electrical outlets were difficult to use as the devices would not make a good connection."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Los Alamos Entrada Park by IHG
"Very clean rooms, staff not too friendly. Water was off since 4 pm, 1 hour after check in and was off for about 10 to 12 hours."
