The place is very clean, quiet, the staff are very attentive and helpful. I recommend it 100 percent to relax as a family or as a couple, we will return if God allows it.

Everything was very nice except the discriptiom of the room. You should not put beach front if you don't have one. You say it's ok the side but that's not realistic either it's a ways distance for some room.
I love this hotel it is nice and clean. I have nothing negative to say. The employees are respectful and kind. My room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back again hopefully in September before the summer ends.
The Port Royal is an exceptional hotel in every respect, especially for one at the Jersey Shore. This is the 2nd time we have statyed at this property in the last 12 months and we love it. It’s one of a few places that has two queen beds so that’s always a plus for us. The property itself is beautiful and the rooms are roomy and feel very airy. We had a room with the balcony and used it for morning coffee. It’s also nice there is a microwave, mini fridge, plates, cups etc.

I feel like we really lucked out with this stay. Planned only 2 weeks prior, we booked accommodations last minute and took a chance on Avondale. It was perfect! Right on Beach Ave. in Cape May, we had view of the ocean from our balcony area. Upon booking, I received a call within 30 minutes from Avondale to confirm our stay and to ask us if we were OK with with walking up the stairs to 2nd or 3rd floor as there is no elevator. Not a problem for us and the 2nd floor facing the beach was perfect....
