Had a wonderful stay at Quinta da Paz resort. The hotel is in the hills of the Itaipava area of Petropolis and while close to the center also feels like a nice retreat. Quinta da Paz is truly a resort, on a large beautiful piece of property with a gorgeous pool. There is even a small nature hike on the resort. Gorgeous property very close to the lake and the Quintandinha Hotel, gallery and the trail to the summit. The owner is so nice and has great taste! The staff was very courteous and professional. Great value-Highly recommended.

We love these kinds of old-fashioned, elegant hotels - hotel & room were in excellent condition, staff was very friendly, king bed was super comfy, excellent dinner in the Leopoldina restaurant - even though nearly empty, we enjoyed dinner very much. Fantastic forest setting, with amazing outdoor rooms, offering gaming rooms, sauna, gym, trails, chapel, swimming pool and breathtaking views. Rooms with fireplace, jacuzzi, varanda facing the forests, and mountain views all-around. Great restaurant and staff, who will do whatever it takes to make you feel welcome.

AC was phenomenal and necessary due to heavy humidity. Very nice smart tv which worked very well when the internet worked (missed 24 hours out of 4 day stay. Excellent parking option on site. Adjacent to nice mall. Walking distance to many restaurants.
