I loved my quick trip to santa monica and greatly enjoyed the beauty of the shutters ocean view room with patio. Being able to see the ocean makes me feel closer to nature and i loved the decoration of this hotel including books to read and toys to play with in the room. We used a bike for an hour which was fun. The pool area is nice and very refreshing. Room service breakfast was very relaxing.
It’s a lovely hotel, there is a $55 a day resort fee, which you don’t learn about until check in. Great location, but it’s on a public beach, so public passes by all day and night, didn’t bother us, but I could see how some people would be annoyed by that.
This is our go to hotel when staying in the Santa Monica area. The hotel is conveniently located away from the commercial/congested areas of Santa Monica. We have found the property to be much more reasonably priced than all other alternative hotels. The common areas are slightly dated and in need of a spruce up, but they are nice enough to be completely acceptable as well. The rooms themselves are more than adequate, and they are impeccably cleaned. We want to give a special shout out to...
The room was great. It was quiet, clean and comfortable and we had a view of the pool and beach from our balcony. The pool got afternoon sun and was protected from the ocean wind. It was in the 50s-low 70s everyday but at the pool it felt more like 80. Plenty of food options at the hotel and in the immediate area. Would definitely return!
A short walk to the pier and downtown Santa Monica made it easy for me and my family to look around and enjoy our weekend out there. Room was very clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
The best part is the big living room and kitchen, even though the pots and pans are a little beaten, but they are sufficient, especially the small knife for fruits. The towels and bed sheets need to be more clean and dry. The towels are moist. The location is great. Overall we really enjoyed the stay!
Amazing hotel with great location. Very clean and safe, with extremely friendly staff. I usually book 5 star hotels when traveling but due to the price of 5star hotels in the area, I went for Huntley and it didn’t disappoint. Makes me wonder why it’s not a 5 star hotel yet
The Georgian is a wonderful hotel.
Historic with lots of style.
Our suite overlooked the beach/ocean.
The sunsets were spectacular.
Also, the staff was fantastic.
FYI: Two brief negatives:
1 --- The common areas of the hotel were a bit worn … and seemingly, not cleaned on a daily basis.
2--- The elevator is old … and very slow.
This is a hidden gem just minutes away from the Venice beach with free parking and spacious and clean room! Owner Tom super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! Very close to all the surf schools.
The hotel was cute and the staff was very helpful.
They offer free coffee, tea and water all day, as well as wine and beer for a few hours in the evening. They also offer a free 3 mile shuttle until 8pm so you can enjoy dinner in downtown Santa Monica without having to worry about finding parking. The bakery in front of the hotel was delicious.
My husband and I have already talked about staying at this hotel again if we return to Santa Monica during our stay. Highly recommended.
Really charming B&B in a lovely wood building with lots of character. Room was clean, comfortable and pretty and had a balcony sitting area. Well appointed bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Lovely wine and snacks in the afternoon and nice breakfast in the morning. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great amenities (bikes, beach towels, books, computer access, cookies in the room, beverages, etc. Location is very close to the beach and all the action in Santa Monica.
This is our second time staying at Oceana. We have loved staying here both times. This is probably the best hotel to stay at when one is in Santa Monica. They have amazing service, spacious and clean suites, an onsite restaurant and bar that is very good, and a rooftop bar that has beautiful views of the ocean and where we enjoyed sunsets with good cocktails.
