8/10 Very good

Enjoyed my stay parking was a bit confusing I would say to advice people visiting for the first time to check in first before you head down to the parking lot, very clean room and hotel walls are a bit thin I could hear the tv and when they would open and close the doors from the rooms on the floor

The Ambrose is great: nice rooms, great staff, fun happy hour. We ordered some things to eat during happy hour which were yummy. The hotel is across the street from Tartine, which is a fabulous breakfast/lunch place.

Great location. Clean, well-designed, well-maintained room. Helpful staff. The morning coffee bar and afternoon happy hour are much appreciated amenities. Variety of comfortable seating indoors both outdoors. I will be back, for sure.

Great stay - the staff was genuine and welcoming, coffee and lemon water always available made for some wonderful sit-on-the-beautiful-patio-and-relax moments, parking was easy and convenient. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The hotel smells the best I’ve ever smelled at a hotel! Loved everything about this small boutique hotel. Also, you are directly across the street from an amazing breakfast spot called Tartaine!!

The Ambrose is a beautiful hotel. I loved my stay and I highly recommend. It is quiet and close to places to go in Santa Monica but a relaxing reprieve from all the hustle and bustle.

We visited Santa Monica for a medical reason. The staff was very helpful and the hotel driver drove us to our nearby hospital appointment. We will stay at this hotel again when we have our follow up visit. The hotel was quiet and in a residential neighborhood.

Clean and quaint and quiet hotel. The staff are wonderful and helpful. They tended to our needs. Also it’s a nice perk having tea and coffee available all day. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

4/10 Fair

Great property, but overpriced for a sleepless night The Good: - Cleanliness was top-notch. - Staff was friendly and accommodating. - Great location and excellent overall condition of the property. The Bad: - Noisy AC: Cycled on and off loudly all night. (without AC the room would have been too warm for a good sleep) - Thin walls: Heard every word of our neighbors' conversation in the early morning. Summary: We were only there from 9:00 PM to 8:30 AM and didn't use any amenities—we literally just paid for a night of sleep and didn't get it. For a quick, sleep-only stay, it was much too expensive for the lack of comfort
