Learn more about Oskaloosa
Beneath the historic town square's clock tower, locals swap stories while browsing farmers' market stalls laden with Iowa's bounty. William Penn University students mingle with townspeople at cozy cafés tucked into century-old storefronts. The Nelson Pioneer Farm brings the 1800s to life with interpreters demonstrating how to churn butter or forge iron tools. City Square Park hosts summer concerts where families spread blankets under mature oaks. Take a short drive to Lake Keomah State Park for fishing or hiking through woodland trails. The Southern Iowa Fair transforms the fairgrounds into a whirl of lights, livestock competitions, and the sweet scent of funnel cakes. Don't miss the public library's impressive collection housed in a beautifully preserved Carnegie building.

"The bed was comfortable the room was clean. The front desk staff is non existent. I waited and waited for someone to show up at check in she was just hanging out in the back and no one was around to check out."

"Great place to stay on a quick trip."

"I appreciated the helpfulness of every staff member I interacted with, customer service was very important to them, and I felt like they truly valued my business. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was quiet."
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Oskaloosa
"One of the cleanest best Fairfield Inn I have ever stayed at very clean room rooms. Staff was wonderful."
EverSpring Inn & Suites
"The room was very out of date and needed some upkeep. The staff was amazing, breakfast was good and beds really nice. I think if they just try to do a little updating and deep cleaning it would be amazing."

"First of all this is an older building and it is in need of repair. And it offers a discounted price to compensate for this. Don't let the outward appearance discourage you. I stayed 5 nights. The location is just out of town and is a safe location to stay in. The room I had was very clean. The bedding, furniture, towels were in very good condition. They looked new. The AC worked very well, and the refrigerator was good sized and cold. You could set the thermostat where you wanted it. The bathroom was small, but it had a hot shower and a tub. Not a turned down water heater to save money like hotels costing 5 times their price! It had a heat lamp in the ceiling, plus a separate exhaust fan. I never heard any of the other guests while in my room , and there was no partying of any kind going on that I noticed. The people at the desk and the maids were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and made me feel like they appreciated me using their hotel. They were "kind" people if you care about that. I will be staying in this hotel for all my visits in the future to Oskaloosa, IA. It's about a 3 minute ride to be right in the city where the restaurants and shops are. Oskaloosa is a great mid-sized midwestern town with lots of goods and services. The people who were staying in the hotel were driving mostly new cars. They were dressed nicely and were a friendly bunch. There is also a security person on site. Jeff Anderson"
