The charming streets mix Mediterranean Revival architecture with lush landscapes and palm-lined paths. Waterfront restaurants serve fresh Gulf seafood with bay views, while boutique shops showcase local artisan goods. Peaceful streets lined with palm trees and well-kept homes create the perfect base for exploring nearby attractions. Learn more about Safety Harbor
Healing mineral waters have drawn visitors to Safety Harbor Resort and Spa for generations, where wellness traditions date back centuries. Main Street charms with independent boutiques and local eateries that feel refreshingly un-touristy. Sunset views over Tampa Bay from the Waterfront Park might explain why residents seem perpetually content. Philippe Park offers ancient Native American mounds alongside picnic spots with postcard-worthy bay vistas. The Safety Harbor Museum reveals the area's fascinating history as a literal 'safe harbor' for storm-dodging Spanish ships. Between Tampa and Clearwater but somehow separate from both, this walkable waterfront town maintains its distinct character despite being surrounded by Florida's more boisterous attractions.

"Good hotel"
The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk
"An older hotel. But we had a great stay the night before our cruise. It is a great location right on the river walk. With a restaurant on site, we ordered a late snack that was delicious. Also, they have a free shuttle that dropped us off all around town the day before and then took us to our cruise port in the morning. You can also call the shuttle if you're anywhere within a two mile radius and don't feel like walking back to the hotel and they will pick you up. We will definitely be staying here again if we cruise out of tampa in the future. Also a big shout out to the shuttle driver, Vernon!!!"

Sirata St. Pete Beach Resort, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
"We stayed in a Junior Suite with 2 queen beds. It was very spacious with a nice view and had a little kitchenettte. It was clean and I liked that there were no carpets, the flooring was tile and made it feel cleaner. The staff was nice and helpful. We booked on Expedia and the rates were better than even the convention rate our organization secured. Overall we thought it was great."
Sailport Waterfront Suites
"Everything great. The view and the cleanliness and appliances were great, beyond our expectations. However, the check-in, especially at night could use some bettter direction on where to check in. It is on the second floor and a little confusing to find, so could use better signage to help. Some of the lamps and outlets didn't work either but everything was just as nice as the photos and comfortable to stay in GREAT value for the price!!!!"
