If you like quiet time surrounded by flowers and greenery, then make a stop at Silly Mountain Park located 34.1 mi (54.8 km) from the center of Phoenix.
If museums are on your list of things to see in Apache Junction, then you might want to head to Superstition Mountain Museum. If you want to experience more of the culture Apache Junction has to offer, head to Lost Dutchman State Park.
Beneath the rugged silhouette of Superstition Mountain, this desert outpost beckons with Wild West legends that feel surprisingly alive. Lost Dutchman State Park offers trails where you can hunt for the fabled gold mine while jackrabbits dart between saguaros. The Superstition Mountain Museum displays mining artifacts alongside the Elvis Memorial Chapel, saved from an old movie set. Locals recommend hiking Silly Mountain Park at sunset when the desert glows amber. During spring, wildflowers transform the landscape into a painter's palette. The Apache Trail scenic drive reveals breathtaking vistas of canyon lakes and desert wilderness. Come winter, snowbirds fill the RV parks, swapping tales of the mysterious Dutchman's treasure over evening campfires.

Tempe Oasis
10/10 Excellent
"This is such a great alternative to a hotel room and at an affordable price. It is like a little apartment with full kitchen, little dining table and bench, sofa and chair with TV and separate bedroom and bathroom with large closet and chest of drawers. We bring our own kitchen pots, plates, utensils, etc., but the hotel will deliver a set if needed. Everything is clean, cozy, and quiet. The idea of room / gate codes is convenient instead of a card to drop off at reception. No deposit, and we can see our car from the bedroom window, shopping nearby and close to Tempe Marketplace. Thank you Tempe Oasis for the complementary welcome tray with snacks and orange drink. Much appreciated after a long drive :)"

"We had a great experience. Room was spacious and clean (except the fridge had stuff in it) the beds were very comfortable. We had a little kitchenette. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall would highly recommend staying here."
"The breakfast was especially good. Room and bed were comfortable and we felt very welcomed to have our dog with us. Staff was very pleasant as well. "
"I had booked a king room - with a view. Arrived late and after dark due to a flight delay; checked in without even thinking to make sure about the view... I just wanted to put my bag in the room and head back down to the bar for a bite to eat before the kitchen closed.
Woke up the next morning, opened the curtain and was so disappointed to see my view was basically (mostly) the parking lot, a few houses across street and a very small/boring 'mountain'. Hence 'mountain' view...
On my way out I stopped by the front desk to ask if I might be able to move to a room on the other side of the hotel - with a proper view. I was told that I was in the 'room type' that I had booked... He then suggested that I check back later that morning. I had to leave for a meeting but called the Adero afterwards and spoke to a very nice Gent by the name of Pacci. I explained my situation (GF was arriving that day and I had sold her on the Adero views) and he immediately said - no worries, I can take care of your request. I asked Pacci what I would need to pay in addition for the new room, fully expecting to pay for an upgrade and he simply said that there would be no charge... Just go to the front desk and get your new keys.
The new room was wonderful - stunning views...
Thanks Pacci!

This is a great resort - in a wonderful area. Highly recommended!"
