Learn more about Klamath

Tucked between the mighty Klamath River and ancient redwood forests, this small town offers front-row access to natural wonders. Kayak alongside bald eagles or visit Yurok tribal lands to learn about indigenous culture. Trees of Mystery showcases redwood sculptures and a forest canopy gondola ride. Redwood National Park surrounds the community with trails where Roosevelt elk roam beneath 300-foot giants. After hiking Prairie Creek's fern-draped paths, catch sunset at Klamath River Overlook where river meets Pacific. Del Norte Coast Redwood State Park adds ocean vistas to your forest experience. The town itself, rebuilt after a 1964 flood, maintains quiet charm with just enough services for travelers seeking wilderness over crowds.

"We had a nice room overlooking the Klamath river. The staff was very helpful and we loved the proximity to the Redwoods. Chocolate chip cookies were available at night along with some port wine. The breakfasts were very good. We wished we were there for their dinners on the weekends. The grounds around the Inn were well cared for."
