Many opportunities to explore in and around Custer, so many hiking locations, shops to purchase items, and wildlife to see in the State Park or Cave areas.

The town is quiet and shuts down early. Be sure to figure out your food situation before it gets too late. Great little grocery store in town and they have everything you can need.

Custer is a very quaint city. It has several nice restaurants and a lot of gift shops. Regardless of which hotel you stay at, everything can be walked to. It's a nice area to stay if you want to avoid all the hub bub of Keystone.

The park is the main attraction for us. We enjoy the wildlife and beauty of the area, more than the tourist traps like Mt Rushmore or Crazy Horse.

We wished there were more restaurants open during the week. But that may be a symptom of being a tourist town.
"Property is from an earlier era, so not a Hampton. That said, they are making do with a quaint and comfortable arrangement. The hostess was very helpful with dining info and other details."
"Clean. Outside could use a new paint job but inside was clean, however the ac was making a funny noise but stayed cold. When I pulled the shower handle the spout came in and out of the wall. It wasn't secured. Needs a little love and we did have a centipede in the room one night but fortunately we saw it before we stepped on it! "
"The property was great. The only drawback was parking. We had to park on the far side of the hotel which was not convenient at all with our room on the opposite side of the facility. "
