This was a great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. It is a charming building and hotel and our room was very nice - new, clean and modern. It is a very short walk to catch the water taxi to Venice, with many restaurants near and between the hotel and water taxi - perfect. The staff went out of their way to provide a high level of attention and service. They handled the parking of our rental car with no problem, which we did not use while there. I highly recommend the Ausonia Hungaria.

We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice and comfortable. All the amenities were in good order, and the staff was great, particularly with restaurant recommendations. We'd happily come back!
The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.
The location was right on the canal but in a quiet part which was nice to get away from the crowds. The staff was wonderful, helpful. Breakfast was incredible and the room was perfect with nice bedding and bath towels. Would definitely recommend a stay.
Everything was amazing, we only stayed there for one night but it was totally worth it. The hotel is amazing, modern yet themed as antique, room was beyond amazing, breakfast exceeded our expectations, and hotel staff were amazing special thanks to Alessandra at the reception who was very nice to help us with everything we needed!! This is a perfectly situated hotel. It’s walkable to all major landmarks and located right on the Grand Canal. If you don’t feel like walking, there’s a water bus stop immediately outside the hotel!

This is a charming hotel. It is in a great location near shops and restaurants. On the other hand there is no “traffic” noise because it is located on a a small alley. My inability to speak Italian was not a problem.

Loved our stay at this place. Everything went well. The front desk staff were all friendly and professional. The breakfast was terrific- not just a pastry & coffee that so many other places claim as breakfast. The location was perfect for us - 5 minutes from the waterbus station. Great location - easy to get to St Mark's Square. We arrived by private water taxi which the hotel arranged for us. Also, it was cheaper than booking on our own either thru Expedia or Viator. You pay cash (euros) directly to the hotel for the transfers. Water taxi drops you off and picks you up at the hotel canal entry.
