I loved the staff and environment, I always go for a boutique style hotel to support the small businesses and I thought it was amazing. And a really good price also. To whoever is in these reviews saying they wanted it to be more resort like and BS like that should have booked at a resort if they wanted all the perks. I would just say everyone should stay here when going to Oahu because the staff where so excellent.
This hotel was perfect for our little stay. We specifically did not want to stay in Waikiki, and this was the perfect distance away. We could still walk to the Waikiki area, but felt like we were in a quite neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel room was a suite, and we were not expecting that. We loved our stay! Lovely open air entrance, free beach towels, chairs, sunscreen and other beach needs. WiFi included in price is not true of all hotels. Bed and pillows were comfy and Starbucks right next door! The restaurant, Lulu’s is a relaxing, open air gem. Everything we ordered was delicious. Recommend the avo toast, coconut shrimp and bloody Mary’s. The fish sandwich was excellent. Room was pretty basic but had frig and microwave. We would stay again for sure.
Loved the retro Hawaiian style of the hotel and friendly staff - great location on a quieter street, yet 5 mins walk to the International Market place and great restaurants.
It is an old hotel, but all the facilities were clean and pleasant. The hotel swimming pool facilities were good, and Waikiki Beach was also visible from the accommodation. The best thing was the accessibility. It was convenient to walk to Waikiki Beach, close to the shopping center, and take a shuttle to cultural facilities nearby.
clean, well maintained, paid parking and it’s okay, it was easy to find parking in the garage, location was great, walking distance to Waikīkī and restaurants. close to CorePower Ward and Kahala. ice and water dispenser in the lobby, a plus for me. Will stay here next time or again.

Great hotel for families! Really convenient walk to everything, beach, restaurants and shopping. The staff were really nice and hospitable! It was a trip back home I needed when I visited my sick Mom. The stay at Imperial was definitely calming and worth it! Definitely my go to next time in Waikiki!
We booked a partial ocean view and found that the circle hotel blocked our view, so we were upgraded to a full ocean view for a minimum per night cost. Very pleasant workers from front desk to maids.
Ocean View, Ocean View, Ocean View! Friendly and helpful staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, and a full kitchen to make life in Waikiki even more relaxing. Whenever we looked out of our window and/or sat on the patio, we were VERY happy with the Aston Waikiki Sunset!
I loved my holidays, the hotel very well located, very comfortable, everything very close to shops, food, the mall, the beach woow super accessible, and the room with everything necessary I felt like I was in my house and have equipment for the Beach. The only thing that is super bad is that the covers of the beds were dirty and the pillows had a bad smell for not washing them maybe and the supervisor or owner does not know what his position is but it is really very very rude.
They treated us like royalty. Private, beautiful, wish we could have stayed longer. The way the resort is set up its as though the beach is private, even though all public beaches in Hawaii are public. All of the staff knew my name, even those I hadn't talked to. All of the staff was great. The manager of Hoku's was the best.
Have stayed here often over the years but not recently until this stay, the upgrades to rooms and AC are outstanding and the whole place has been upgraded.
